We, Metinvest and DTEK, part of SCM, Ukraine's largest investment group, with the support of the Office of the President of Ukraine, in coordination with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and jointly with municipal administrations, have created and are financing the Saving Lives Humanitarian Centre. A Сharitable Aid Foundation FUNDACJA RAZEM DAMY RADE - DO IT TOGETHER was established in Poland to implement the initiatives of the humanitarian project and to finance them.
On 24 February 2022, russia invaded Ukraine and unleashed a full-scale war that is causing civilian deaths each and every day. Many Ukrainian cities are now struggling for survival and are on the edge of a humanitarian disaster. Millions of refugees are fleeing from the war.
The initiative provides large-scale and continuous humanitarian assistance with the involvement of our international partners in the form of food and essential goods. In order to achieve this, we created a hub in Poland where we aggregate wholesale shipments that are delivered in coordination with the Government of Ukraine to the cities and the regions of Ukraine with the greatest need. We have been working in close cooperation with the local authorities and humanitarian headquarters and have the ability to engage local volunteers to organise aid distribution in the regions.
Our key partner-cities in Ukraine are Avdiivka, Zaporіzhzhia, Kryvyi Rih, Kamianske, Pokrovsk.
Why these localities? These are the towns and cities where our business operates and which are suffering, or may suffer, from the war the russian federation is waging against Ukraine. We are well aware of their needs and coordinate with local administrations to ensure that all of the aid reaches its recipients.
Civilians in Ukraine suffer not only from shelling and bombing, but also often from a lack of access to food, water, basic necessities, medical care and medicines. Basic needs include:
Canned products (meat, fish, pates, etc.), cereals, crackers/biscuits, pasta, porridges and instant soups, condensed milk/nut pastes, chocolate, sugar, salt, tea, coffee, bottled water, etc.
Baby bottle-feeding mixture for new-borns and babies (with a shelf life of at least 2 months), pureed baby food, nappies (diapers)
Matches, candles, disinfectants, cleansing wipes, disposable cutlery sets (deep plates, spoons, mugs/glasses), toothbrushes, toothpaste, toilet paper
We kindly ask you to send humanitarian aid only after contacting the representative of the humanitarian centre so that the aid is not lost or spoiled during storage or in transit, but is immediately delivered to Ukraine.
