The Board are also increasing the reputation of the Foundation in the European countries and attracting of new donors from among partners and contacts.
Darijo Srna began his career at Hajduk Split, Croatia, before signing a contract with FC Shakhtar in July 2003 where he spent 15 years as the team leader and captain. He is a record holder for the number of matches played (536). He played 134 games for the Croatian national team. As a player, he won 26 trophies with FC Shakhtar: the UEFA Cup, 10 league titles, 7 Cups and 8 Super Cups of Ukraine. In June 2019, he finished his football career to become FC Shakhtar Director of Football. He holds a UEFA PRO coaching licence.

He is also a university lecturer in EU and international law.

Maria Grimaldi is a Labor Expert specializing in industrial and trade union relations and negotiation over the thirty years. Mrs. Grimaldi a member of the administrative committee of the Bilateral Solidarity Fund of the Environmental Hygiene Sector (INPS, Italy).

Former President of the University of Bordeaux where he championed the values of a large, multidisciplinary, internationally-recognized French university.
