Avdiivka residents continue to receive humanitarian assistance as part of the Saving Lives initiative implemented by Metinvest Group and DTEK in concert with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.
Despite constant shelling and very complex situation AKHZ employees keep bringing humanitarian assistance to those people who have not left the town. They have provided 830 food packages over the last two weeks. The packages include flour, cereals, pasta, oil, canned meat and fish, sugar as well as condensed milk. One package includes enough nutritious food to support one person for a week as recommended by the WHO.
“We must ensure that Avdiivka residents understand that they have not been left to fend for themselves. AKHZ has always stood with the local residents. Now they need our support more than ever. That’s why we volunteer and continue to bring food packages. We will bring assistance to the town as long as the situation allows,” stated AKHZ deputy operations manager (transportation manager) Yuriy KTSYNENKO.
Humanitarian assistance comes to Avdiivka community on a regular basis. Overall, Avdiivka residents have received over 16,000 food packages since the start of active hostilities.
