Donetsk Oblast residents to receive 11,600 hygiene kits from Saving Lives

A humanitarian aid convoy with the most needed hygiene products is going to Donetsk Oblast to be distributed among large families, parents who take care of orphans, and other vulnerable groups. The kits with hygiene products for the whole family comprise soap, shampoos, shower gels, toothpastes, etc.

“Ukraine is going through a difficult period, and it is impossible to stay on the sidelines. Metinvest has become Ukraine’s pillar of support in many areas: it helps the military on the front line, medics, and civilians. People need support, and it is not about statistics. Therefore, assistance comes regularly to the territories near the combat zones or to the recently liberated areas. Ukrainians should know they are not alone in this ordeal. The government, charity organisations, volunteers, and the entire civilised world all stand by them,” said Oleksandr Vyshniakov, head of the Saving Lives project.

Since the first days of the war, Rinat Akhmetov and Vadym Novynsky’s Metinvest Group has undertaken the mission of bringing the world together to help Ukrainians affected by the Russian invasion. The Saving Lives project is rolled out in concert with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation that has acquired extensive expertise in delivering humanitarian aid convoys since 2014. Saving Lives is headquartered in Poland where all assistance from its European partners comes to and then goes to Ukraine.

Over nine months of the war, assistance from Saving Lives has reached more than 300,000 Ukrainians. The donations transferred to the Do It Together Foundation of the Saving Lives project amounted to €2,149,964 in total.
