Medical front: Zaporizhzhia hospital receives necessary medicines

Zaporizhia Hospital has received a consignment of medicines necessary for postoperative treatment of patients. The medical institution received the aid within the framework of the "Saving Lives" humanitarian project.

Postoperative recovery is extremely important for patients. Medicines and vitamins are needed for the process to take place quickly and efficiently. One of the medical institutions in Zaporizhzhia received the necessary medicines from Metinvest and DTEK in coordination with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation within the framework of the Saving Lives humanitarian project.

- We have received parenteral (intravenous) food. It is very necessary for the patients who lie down and cannot move, for patients after operations. We need all this every day, so stocks need to be replenished, and we can't do it alone. We get the help from those who care. The Zaporizhstal plant provides the largest amount and the widest range of products, - said the head of the hospital pharmacy Volodymyr PANCHENKO.

Since the beginning of the war, the Metinvest Group has donated more than 60 million hryvnias worth of medicines and equipment to hospitals in Zaporizhzhia, Kamyansky, Kryvyi Rih and Pokrovsk. Also as a part of the the "Saving Lives" project medical institutions in Zaporizhzhia and Kamyansky received drugs and consumables for 238 thousand Euros. Representatives of the hospitals form a list of necessary medicines, and employees of the company order drugs in the required quantity, including supplies from abroad.

- Under the "Saving Lives" project, we have provided assistance to one of our hospitals in the amount of approximately UAH1 million. Medical kits include injections, medications, and vitamins needed to rehabilitate combat victims. It is very important for us to support the medical industry in this difficult time, - said the director of labor protection, industrial safety and ecology of Zaporizhzhya Oleksiy SHKARUPA.

The company will continue to provide systemic aid to the hospitals in future.
