It is the company tradition to provide assistance to its employees, particularly in the time of the all-out war when every Ukrainian needs a helping hand and reliable support. The assistance is provided as part of the Saving Lives humanitarian project implemented by Metinvest in concert with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.
In late 2022, Metinvest's employees in Zaporizhia who fall under vulnerable categories started receiving humanitarian aid from Saving Lives. They include families of the conscripted, killed and seriously injured employees, as well as female employees who are on maternity leave in Ukraine and employees who are not on downtime. The aid was distributed in two stages: food packages and hygiene kits in December and January, and additional food packages in January and February.
Nearly 13,000 Zaporizhia-based employees and their family members received more than 38,000 food packages and hygiene kits. Food aid included flour, cereals, sugar, pasta, sunflower oil, condensed milk, and canned goods. Hygiene kits included shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and other personal hygiene items.
We remind that over 58,000 employees and their families across Ukraine have benefited from aid, receiving nearly 176,000 packages in total.
