Residents of Avdiivka receive assistance from Saving Lives humanitarian project
One more humanitarian convoy of 5,000 food packages has arrived in Avdiivka under the Saving Lives initiative rolled out by Metinvest Group and DTEK in concert with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation. Overall, Avdiivka locals have received more than 16,000 survival kits since the onset of the active phase of the war.
Avdiivka is one of Ukrainian flashpoints that regularly comes under shelling, and its residents have to take shelter. The road connecting the town with other Ukrainian cities and towns is very dangerous as it is located in the heavy artillery impact area, which often makes it impossible to deliver food and essentials to Avdiivka.
Metinvest Group’s Avdiivka Coke and Chemicals Plant helps local residents. As soon as it becomes rather quiet, the Group’s employees deliver food packages to locals. The food kits comprise pasta, flour, cereals, oil, canned food, sugar, and condensed milk that meet WHO recommendations for energy value of food products.
