Funded by Metinvest and DTEK of Ukraine's largest investment group SCM, the Saving Lives project is implemented with the support of the Office of the President of Ukraine in coordination with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and the municipal administrations of six Ukrainian cities and towns.
The Saving Lives’ mission is to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe. To this end, SCM's businesses have joined efforts with international partners to source and deliver food, water, and essentials to the localities.
So far, 80 tonnes of products have arrived in Ukraine. These eighty tonnes will translate into about 8,250 food packages formed by more than 200 Metinvest volunteer employees at a sorting centre in Zaporizhzhia.
In March-April 2022 alone, SCM businesses will make contracts in Europe, deliver aid to Ukraine, and form at least 400,000 survival kits as part of the Saving Lives project. Some of the packages will be distributed among the residents; the remaining will make strategic provisions for each of the six localities.
The aid from Europe first arrives to a hub in Poland that packs wholesale shipments. The shipments are delivered to the cities, towns, and regions in coordination with the Government of Ukraine. Local authorities, volunteers, and employees of the companies cooperate extensively to distribute the aid.
The main Ukrainian partner cities and towns of the Saving Lives project are Avdiivka, Zaporіzhzhia, Kryvyi Rih, Kamianske, Pokrovsk. These are the localities that have already been attacked or may be attacked by the Russian Federation.
The humanitarian project is open for cooperation with international companies willing to join the humanitarian efforts. The financial or humanitarian aid can be transferred to us through the Do It Together Foundation. For more information about this cooperation, please follow the link.
