Liudmyla Iehovska graduated from Donetsk Polytechnic Institute. She got married there, and together with her husband relocated to Pokrovsk for work. The couple searched for new coal deposits. By the way, coal deposits at former Krasnoarmiiska-Zakhidna No. 1 and now at Pokrovske Colliery are also the work of Lyudmila Pavlovna. She remembers very well how it happened. Back then they looked for coal on the lower horizons, which, according to Lyudmyla Pavlivna, was very plentiful there.

The news of the outbreak of war was shocking for the woman. She does not understand how our country could be attacked. She admits that now it is very hard morally because you do not know what will happen in a minute or an hour. Shells are fired everywhere, missile are flying, it’s scary.

Now the woman lives alone. She took in a cat. She also does not quit her favourite hobby – making toys from improvised materials. Everything is fit for purpose: old plastic bottles, pieces of fabric, etc. She is happy to tend a small piece of land in front of the entrance. She says that it warms her soul.

As for the assistance within the Saving Lives humanitarian project, Liudmyla Pavlivna is certain that only a person with a big heart can do this. Especially when it comes to the elderly. They have a small pension and more often than not it is barely enough for medicines. Therefore, food and hygiene kits are very important things that help to survive such difficult times.
