Unbreakable Moms: Stories of unbreakability

Participants of the Unbreakable Mom project have been living in a state of uncertainty for nine months, trying to overcome the psychological trauma of the war on their own. During three weeks, together with their children, they will go from a deep stressful state to being filled with energy.

This incredible transformation will be shown by Alevtina Shvetsova, a resident of the besieged Mariupol, who rescued her family from the half-ruined city. The Unbreakable mom diary will contain a number of stories about overcoming pain, the therapeutic power of creativity and communication. And also – the real emotions of women and children. Watch Alevtina’s first video about the start of the project and its heroines.

This is the second time the Turchenko family has fled the war: in 2014 they had to leave their native Snizhne, and in March 2022 – to leave Mariupol. Two months before the full-scale invasion, the family bought a house in the town of Mariia, but the war dashed all hopes of a peaceful and quite life.
