Six communities in Dnipropetrovsk and Kirovohrad oblasts have received 13,700 food packages under the Saving Lives initiative rolled out by Metinvest Group and DTEK in coordination with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.
The humanitarian aid convoy with essential foods was delivered to Hleiuvatka, Lozuvata, Petrove, Karpivka, Novolativka, and Shyroke communities. One package includes enough nutritious food to support one person for a week. Among the food items are flour, cereals, pasta, oil, canned meat and fish, sugar and condensed milk. The assistance will be distributed among the most vulnerable people and IDPs who had to flee their homes because of the Russian aggression.
“We have a lot of families who need support today. Hleuivatka community hosts around 200 internally displaced people, including 53 children. Those who need support will get it as soon as possible. It will better the lives of many locals at this arduous time for our country,” said Yuriy Serhienko, head of Hleuivatka community.
