Dnipropetrovsk, Kyrovohrad oblasts and Donbas receive humanitarian aid from Saving Lives project

The Saving Lives humanitarian project continues to provide assistance to the regions of the country affected by the war. The charity project has handed over food packages to thousands of people in Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad and Donetsk oblasts, and helped the cities build up strategic food reserves.
Thus, a humanitarian aid drive of 1,600 food kits has arrived at Lozuvatska, Hleiuvatska, Shyrokivska, Karpivska and Novolativska communities in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, and at Petrivska community in Kirovohrad Oblast. Also, the project plans to deliver more than 14,000 food packages to the military administration of Kryvyi Rih and other neighbouring communities.

The humanitarian kits include long-term storage food such as cereals, pasta, canned food, condensed milk, oil, sugar and flour. The contents of the packages meet the caloric value recommendations of the World Health Organisation. They are distributed, first and foremost, among socially vulnerable people such as large families, single mothers, disabled children, IDPs and the war-affected families.

“Today, at this difficult time for our country, our friends support us and provide humanitarian assistance to those who need it most,” said Svitlana Tylyk, Chair of Petrivska local council.

SCM’s initiative is also helping people in the area of active hostilities in Donbas. The Saving Lives project has already delivered 13,000 food packages to residents of Pokrovsk and 6,000 kits to Avdiivka. The assistance was first of all intended to help socially vulnerable people who could not leave the town.

We remind that the Saving Lives project is funded by SCM Group’s Metinvest and DTEK in coordination with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.
