Saving Lives pitch in the international conference: Tell the truth to Europe to gain help
The Saving Lives project launched by SCM businesses has been presented at a special conference HR SMART PLACE FOR UKRAINA in Italy by Maria Grimaldi, a member of the Programme Board and an expert in employment relations. She told the representatives of big European companies about the destruction of buildings and the killing of people as well as about the sufferings of civilians and the assistance provided by Metinvest, DTEK, and donor businesses.
The event focused on work culture and social responsibility. About fifty participants representing big European companies such as Pittini, Roncadin S.p.A., Group Bouvard, Ilcam s.p.a., and HHLA PLT Italy Srl attended the conference.
In her speech, Maria Grimaldi drew attention to the catastrophic situation created by the war in Ukraine. Civilians, mostly in the front-line areas, are struggling with multiple problems, in particular, with the lack of food and medicines. In this situation, the Saving Lives project helps prevent a humanitarian catastrophe in dozens of localities.
"Our project has gained support of 82 companies all around the world. It's worth noting that most of these companies are based in Italy. I am confident that the number of our supporters will keep growing all around the world," stated the Programme Board member.
