The Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine supports Saving Lives humanitarian project

Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine expressed her gratitude in the official letter to the Saving Lives project for its significant contribution to overcoming the humanitarian disaster in Ukraine.
The letter notes that Russia’s armed aggression has caused a humanitarian disaster in Ukraine. Thus, one of the government’s key missions today is to meet the fundamental needs of Ukrainians in food, essential items, medicines, etc. and the Saving Lives humanitarian initiative helps the authorities do it. According to the letter, one of the major advantages of the project is that it arranges delivery of the most needed items to the regions most affected by the armed aggression.

The project has already delivered food packages to Pokrovsk and Avdiivka, and is going to help local communities in Kryvyi Rih, Kamianske, Zaporizhia and other settlements. Food packages will go to Mariupol as soon as it becomes possible. A few days ago, Iryna Vereshchuk visited Metinvest Humanitarian Mission Coordination Centre operating at Zaporizhstal to see the efficient and smooth work of 200 volunteers who packed about 9,000 food packages a day. In March-April, SCM businesses have contracted in Europe, delivered to Ukraine and formed at least 400,000 survival kits. Some of them will go to local residents, and the rest will stock up a strategic food reserve for the six cities.
